On February 16, 1923, English archaeologist Howard Carter opened the final chamber in an Egyptian tomb, which he would soon confirm as the lost burial place of Tutankhamun.

Tutankhamun, also known as “King Tut” or the “Boy King,” was the 13th pharaoh of Egypt’s 18th dynasty. He died at the age of 18 due to unknown causes, though in 2012, researchers suggested the possibility of malaria and a broken leg.

Carter and his team searched the Valley of Kings for King Tut’s tomb for over five years, financed by George Herbert, fifth Earl of Carnarvon. In early 1922, frustrated by the lack of findings, Carnarvon told Carter to call off the search.

Carter, determined, convinced Herbert to wait an additional year, and in November, he and his team discovered a set of stone stairs hidden by debris near the entrance of a different tomb.

The stairway led down to a door bearing the name they had searched for: Tutankhamun.

On November 26, 1922, Carter and Herbert entered the tomb and discovered four rooms that had remained mostly intact over the centuries. Three days later, the tomb was officially opened in the presence of several invited dignitaries and Egyptian officials.

About three months later, on February 16, Carter and Herbert opened the final chamber in the tomb, revealing the untouched sarcophagus and mummified remains of King Tut.

Additional treasures found within the burial chamber are housed in the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Curse of the Pharaohs

Opening the tomb brought with it a wave of public fascination with the discovery, and with it, the popular legend of the “Curse of the Pharaohs” or “Curse of King Tut." According to legend, the curse casts bad luck, illness, or death upon those who disturb the mummies of ancient Egypt.

The curse’s existence was reinforced in the public eye by the sudden death of Herbert approximately five months after the opening of the burial chamber.

Other deaths associated with the legend include a visitor to the tomb, a member of the original excavation team, Herbert’s half-brother, a radiologist who X-rayed King Tut’s mummy, and Carter himself, over 16 years later.

Escape from Egypt πŸͺπŸ—» moment on the DNTCCC: Woman whose boobs keep growing due to medical condition was told to leave Disneyland because her cleavage was ‘inappropriate’

Woman whose boobs keep growing due to medical condition was told to leave Disneyland because her cleavage was ‘inappropriate’

Daily Mail, February 6, 2026

Problem: Summer Robert was left 'humiliated' when she was asked to cover up her cleavage during a visit to Disneyland

A woman who has a medical condition which causes her breasts to keep growing claims she was left 'humiliated' last month when she was asked to cover up her cleavage during a visit to Disneyland in California.

Summer Robert was diagnosed with macromastia, a type of breast hypertrophy which sees her chest become excessively large over time.

The condition has left her struggling to find clothes that completely cover her chest, an issue which got her into trouble with staff at the amusement park.

Summer, 25, told the Daily Mail that while attending the park with a friend she was approached by employees who told her she needed to cover her chest or 'leave'.

'A male employee approached me and said, "This is just to let you know someone has complained about what you're wearing,"' she said.

'I asked him what was wrong with my outfit, and he shrugged and gave me a look that basically said "nothing".'

'I told him there was nothing inappropriate about what I was wearing,' she added.

'I was dressed the same as most people there, the only difference being that I have larger breasts.'

The Scottish woman went on to say she was wearing a low-cut, long-sleeved shirt tucked into a mini, pink pleated skirt with shorts underneath to cover her modesty.

However, she told Daily Mail that didn't appear to be enough for one female staff member, who allegedly demanded Summer put a jumper on to cover her cleavage.

'As I started to walk away, an older female employee came up to me and began shouting,' Summer recalled.

'She said, "I'm a mother, an aunt, and a daughter, and I can tell you're dressed ridiculously. You need to go to your car and get a sweatshirt to cover them up."'

'I told her I didn't have a sweatshirt, it was 30-degree heat, and asked why I would. She then told me I needed to buy one from the Disney store or leave.'

Summer has claimed the employee then yelled at her, adding that the male staff member who first approached 'looked extremely uncomfortable' by his co-worker's behavior.

'I finally said, "It's fine, we're leaving anyway." She replied, "GOOD!" and then proceeded to follow us as we walked away,' Summer claimed.

'Even after we exited the actual Disney park, she continued following us.

'My friend and I went into a store outside of the park, thinking she had stopped.

'While we were browsing, she approached us again and said, "Unless you're in here buying something to cover them up, you need to leave NOW."'

'I had remained calm the entire time because I didn't want to draw attention to myself and was honestly embarrassed, but at that point I spoke up.

'I told her, "We've left the park. I'm not buying something to cover up.

'"There is absolutely nothing wrong with my outfit, there are people walking around in sports bras and leggings. I am fully covered.

'"The only difference is that I have large breasts, which I cannot help. This is discrimination."'

Summer said: 'As soon as I said the word "discrimination," she changed her story and claimed the issue was now my skirt, a skirt that had shorts underneath,' Summer explained.

'This was despite her repeatedly saying I needed to "cover those up", clearly referring to my chest.

'A back-and-forth followed. People were staring, and several parents were visibly shaking their heads at her in disapproval.'

Summer said she and her friend then left the store and began to 'walk around for a bit' before attempting to enter a Sephora just outside the park.

'She followed us there as well. Another male staff member appeared, clearly receiving instructions from her over the radio,' she claimed.

'He said, "Hey ladies, can I stop you for a second?" My heart sank, assuming we were about to be told we couldn't enter.

'She came running up, shouting that we needed to move further away and that we weren't allowed in Sephora.

'I asked the male employee directly, "Please tell me what is wrong with my outfit." He looked at me and said, "Nothing, baby. Nothing."'

Summer alleged the female staff member continued 'yelling' at her about her clothes until she boarded a nearby train and left the location entirely.

'She stood there watching us until the train departed. I felt humiliated and disgusting and cried the entire way home,' she said.

'We had been in the park for four hours before this happened, and earlier that day another staff member had even given us a free FastPass for a ride.'

Summer said she was never informed who made complaints about her clothing, adding the entire incident 'put her off ever going back' to the park.

'I get catcalled and stared at almost everywhere I go but I can honestly say I did not experience that at Disney,' she said.

'Everyone was minding their own business in what is supposed to be the happiest place in the world.

'I've been to Disney in Paris and Florida and never experienced anything like this... I will never go back to California Disney.'

Summer was not banned from the park and assumes she is allowed to return, but has no interest in going back after the experience.

The Daily Mail has contacted Disneyland for a response.
